Diane Bigda is an illustrator and artist with a surface design, nature drawing, and printmaking focus. Her client list includes publishers such as Chronicle Books, Random House, Simon and Schuster, McGraw-Hill, and Bantam Dell, and magazines including The New Yorker, Atlantic Monthly, and Gourmet. Diane has also worked with design and advertising agencies such as Arnold Worldwide, and WGBH. Before becoming an illustrator, Diane worked for 20 years as an art director. Diane has been teaching at Lesley University College of Art + Design since 2004. Her courses include Natural History Drawing, Surface Design, Book Illustration, and Transparent Media. She has been a visiting critic at Maryland Institute of Art, Suffolk University, and Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Diane studied illustration at Lesley College of Art + Design, Rhode Island School of Design, and School of the Museum of Fine Arts, among others.
